Chicago’s Essex Realty Group Snags Two Prime North Side Multifamily Listings

Chicago multifamily specialist Essex Realty Group has snagged two prime multi-family listings on Chicago’s North Side with a combined asking price of more than $11 million.
Going for $3.4 million is 1051 W Pratt Ave in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, represented by Essex principal Steve Livaditis and Director Jacob Goldstein. The property is a 16-unit apartment building located along the shores of Lake Michigan. The property has been under the same ownership for over 30 years and has been well maintained during its tenure.
The unit mix consists of one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Several of the apartment units have views of Columbia Beach and the lake from the living areas.

And going for $8.32 million is 5417 N. Kenmore in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. The property is a 65-unit corridor-style apartment building with a terra cotta façade and is comprised primarily of studio and one-bedroom apartments. The units feature laminate floors, white kitchen appliances, spacious closets, and radiator heating. The building is represented by the Essex team of Jim Darrow, Jordan Gottlieb and Sarah Rider.
The Edgewater neighborhood is active. The Essex team recently sold a 27-unit, two-building portfolio located at 6257 N. Lakewood Avenue and 1214 W. Rosemont Avenue for $5.25 million.
